Death Cab for Cutie - Plans : Expect an in-depth review coming up very soon on this album. It just came out today and it grabbed me a lot quicker than previous DCFC releases–even Transatlanticism, my favorite.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl : This is a lot more Americana than their last record, which I also enjoyed quite a bit. I am really into this album and it’s going on my iPod today. I will probably also review this disc as well.
Muse - Absolution : I never really listened to Muse much, except for a song here and there, but The Bagboy had it playing in the car on the way to and from New Braunfels and now that I’ve heard more of it, I really like it.
New Pornographers - Twin Cinema : How could you NOT love a band that includes A.C. Newman and Neko Case? I hadn’t heard the new album until this weekend, again courtesy of The Bagboy, but I think it might be my favorite so far. The New Pornographers are #2 on my list of “Bands You Can’t Stay Pissed Off While Listening To.”
I tried to think of a 5th artist I’ve been listening to a lot the past few days, but then I remembered that every list doesn’t have to be a Top 5. Reviews to come later, but I have work to do now.
