My response:
Fauss–I shouldn’t have to explain anything to you, considering your blog could be the “random TV haiku” blog or the “Ryan Adams makes me wet my pants!” blog. Plus, you don’t like Radiohead. BUT since I consider you to be a very good friend, I will explain.
I have been on the “Tom Cruise is crazy” bandwagon since shortly before his break with Nicole Kidman. I always liked him–he seemed really down to earth, had some great movie roles, seemed to really love his wife, was cute, etc. Then he started exhibiting weird Hollywood diva behavior, divorced Nicole, got involved with Penelope Horseface No Mayo on Her Sandwiches Cruz, and it all snowballed from there. Plus, he started setting off my Gaydar big time…thus the “beard” jokes.
The Scientology thing has a lot to do with the weirdness, I’d reckon, but I can’t be sure…however his involvement in Scientology seems to be directly in correlation to his weirdness levels rising. Just sayin’.
So now everyone’s like, “OMG Tom! He’s so weird! and maybe GAY! but look how crazy he is!!!” and I feel justified.
